Abstract
The placement of implants in the esthetic zone is an advanced and complex treatment procedure: various risk factors could compromise the predictability of results. Therefore, comprehensive preoperative examination and treatment planning, followed by precise clinical approaches, are essential to achieve an esthetically successful outcome. Esthetic risk assessment (ERA) analysis, which uses clinical precursors to evaluate the risk of a suboptimal esthetic outcome, may be utilized as a useful tool for clinicians to plan treatment procedures and predict postoperative results. The current report presents two cases of implant placement in the maxillary anterior region. In both cases, the risks of a suboptimal esthetic outcome were evaluated preoperatively using ERA; treatment procedures were planned before implant placement. Clinically, both cases achieved successful results, with patients expressing high levels of satisfaction for functionally and esthetics. In conclusion, clinicians should consider using ERA analysis as an important heuristic tool to raise the chances of successful outcomes for implant treatments in the esthetic zone.
